SIEM REAP TRIP

上个月和朋友到暹粒-吴哥窟游一游。四天三夜转眼就过,时间还过得真快!六月是雨季,但是天气还是很闷热!这次旅程没看到日落,因为天不做美,棉棉细雨,乌云盖顶,我们只好撑着扇走马看花。六月对他们来说也是淡季,所以买东西最好杀价...哈哈哈,个个都大包小包的满载而归!!!

端午节

23日将迎来传统佳节端午节。中科院紫金山天文台研究员王思潮表示,端午节始于春秋战国时期,至今已有2000多年历史。


  春节、端午和中秋是民间传统的三大节日。端午节又叫端阳节、重午节。此外,端午节还有许多别称,如午日节、重五节、五月节、女儿节、天中节、诗人节、龙日等。王思潮介绍,“端”字有“初始”的意思,因此“端五”就是“初五”。而按照历法五月正是“午”月,因此“端五”也就渐渐演变成了现在的“端午”。《燕京岁时记》记载:“初五为五月单五,盖端字之转音也。”

  关于端午节的起源、由来,版本很多,有纪念屈原说、纪念伍子胥说、纪念东汉孝女曹娥说等等,但以纪念屈原的说法流传最广。此说最早出自南朝梁代吴均《续齐谐记》和南朝宗懔《荆楚岁时记》。据说,屈原投汨罗江后,百姓们怕江河里的鱼吃掉他的身体,就纷纷回家拿来米团投入江中,以免鱼虾糟蹋屈原的尸体,后来就成了吃粽子的习俗。

咸菜汤


上个礼拜原本要煮咸菜豆腐汤,但是少买了豆腐,又懒得又驾车出去,所以就变了咸菜汤咯...嗝嗝嗝

南瓜+马铃薯切块,然后烫熟或蒸熟,挤压成泥状,再加点盐便可食用。

蒸金瓜糕 / Pumpkin Kuih

Ingredients:
150g Rice flour
1 tbsp Plain flour
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Chicken powder (No MSG added)
1/2 tsp Sugar
14oz/400ml Water

Filling:
200g Diced pumpkin
50g Dried shrimps (soak for 10 mins and roughly chop)
150g Minced chicken (season with little pepper and salt) - 我没放
4 nos Sliced Shallot
dash of pepper

Method:
1)Mix rice flour, plain flour, salt, chicken powder, sugar and water together and set aside for 10 minutes.
2)Fry shallots and dried shrimps till fragrant with oil, add minced chicken fry till cooked then diced pumpkin with a dash of pepper, stir fry well for another 2-3 minutes.
3)Lower heat, stir well the flour water mixture and pour onto the ingredients. Off heat immediately once the mixture get into thick paste and mix well.
4)Pour mixture into prepared tin and press evenly. Steam at high heat for 30 minutes.
Leave Pumpkin Kuih to cool, remove and garnish with cut spring onion, fried shallots and fresh chillies on top.
